Our little Bruiser

Well well, sorry it's been so long since my last post.  Obviously having 2 kids is keeping me busy.  Things are starting to settle a bit and I've been eager to update the blog with cute pictures.  Our Bruce is 4 months old already but it feels like he's been with us longer that that.  He is 14 pounds and smiles easily.  He's also started to laugh!  He is happiest when he's being held while also being walked.  He wants to see the world!  He's picky like that.  He mostly wants you to look at him and touch him or let him touch you.  He has been a very fussy baby too.  He had (an occasionally still has) colic issues.  He also has torticollis, which is an issue with his neck muscles.  For whatever reason, a baby with torticollis will only develop strength in part of their neck resulting in selective movement.  It is treatable, with months of physical therapy.  He is getting better but it is a slow grueling process.  He hates his exercises.  There is a risk of the head becoming misshapen due to only positioning the head one direction. i.e. a flat spot.  Thankfully, he does not seem in any danger of this.  We are grateful for that because we do NOT want to do a helmet again!  It is a minor issue and we are very grateful he his strong and perfectly healthy otherwise.

EZ is a good big brother.  He is my helper a lot and he likes to tell me what Bruce wants.  Like a bink, or to go in his swing, or whatever.
Bruce sure loves to watch anything EZ does.

I need to get a digital camera.  My phone isn't fast enough and so many pictures come out blurry.  But he is still cute in them so I gotta share.  Look at that fuzzy hair!

He pulls this "huh?" face all the time.(right)  Or if he's crying he makes what I call a "stink" face because the way he cries, it looks like something smells bad.

We were able to bless him in March.  My parents and my sister Cody and her husband, Jake drove up from Arizona to be a part of it.
Aaron's family was there too as well as most everyone in John's family that lives in Utah.  We got permission to do it in the evening,
which was so nice to have the whole focus be on us and just to be able to visit and hang out afterward.

We rode the big ferris wheel at Scheels.  EZ still talks about that.

 Love his smiles and cuddles!

The torticollis requires a lot of tummy time, which he hates because he has to use his neck and it hurts him to use his neck.
We also stopped swaddling him when he sleeps and he's in crazy positions all the time now, as you can tell.  You can also see,
he would punch out of the swaddle anyway, so we knew he was ready to start moving around while sleeping.

 Funny faces

EZ never lost any of his baby hair, and he had tons!  Bruce on the other hand... not as much hair and it's falling out in such a goofy pattern.
I really want it to grow in soon!  Although I do love the soft fuzz.  It is also dark, unlike EZ who was blonde at birth!

We named him Bruce after all...

I've had to find new ways to keep EZ entertained at church.  He loved taking pictures with the "negative" effect.

He's got the whole world in his hands.....  The mustache bink was courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa!

EZ loves to show Bruce his toys, it was a sweet moment and I tried to capture it, this was the best I got.

Hello brown-eyed boy!
