Don't want to say goodbye to summer..

We took the half hour drive to Holbrook for their summer carnival days.  It was a blast!  I have to take a brief moment and complain about how over priced it all is.  I mean, for 5 people to ride one ride was $20.  Lame!  But we pay it because it's something fun to do out here in the middle of nowhere and we can't do these things all that often.  So, whatever!  Check out the fun..

Yes we let EZ get a flaming skull temporary tattoo and yes he even went to church with it.  Haha!  It really was so awesome and we tried our best not to smudge it off for a whole week!  He was just the happiest kid!  If you notice in the picture of Bruce, he has a skull on his shirt.  We couldn't leave him out!  So they both went to church with skulls.  I'm such a cool mom!

Now that school has started up again, everything else has too.  The boys each take a Tumbling class and EZ started a dance class.  They both love having the dedicated structured time to learn movements and get to use some of that kid energy!  Bruce is enjoying preschool and the fun things they get to make!  John's new job has him pretty worn out by the time he gets home and his favorite thing to do is relax in bed and watch a little TV before going to sleep.  The kids have taken on this routine as well, hence the photos of them on our big bed!

Some of our favorite friends moved away and so we had one last play date with them to enjoy and say goodbye.  These kids will be greatly missed!  (Can you see we STILL have lots of peaches??)

EZ also started soccer (he's a busy boy).  Trying to get a picture of a moving target from far away doesn't really work so well.. but I have a few pictures of Bruce and his buddy.. getting into mischief!  EZ's team only won one game, which was one more than last year!

It's starting to get colder, boo!  Oh wait, that means the holidays will be here soon!  Til then...

Labor Day family fun

We finally got out the 4 wheelers and took them out for a long drive.  Some friends of ours joined us and it was a blast!  I only got the one picture though...

A little bit of kid fun.  Bruce being snuggly cute on the couch next to me and a sweet note from EZ's 1st grade teacher.  These things make me happy!!

So, my sister came back for another visit!  Then my brother decided to join in too!  It makes me so happy to have people come visit, especially family!  We went to the tiny Labor Day Parade, caught snakes in the yard, played lots of games, did rounds of Pop-See-Ko, and ate lots of yummy food!  Janet took on dinner one night and did Cafe Rio style chicken burritos, so good!  Jake and Cody took on breakfast one morning and made delicious egg omlet/quiche type things, yum!
