Birthday time and visitors!

Our insane week is almost here.  We threw the kids another combined birthday party.  This year we have a few more friends who also have boys (brothers) the same ages as ours!  Sadly some of the invites just didn't show when we fully expected them too.  Oh well, they missed out!
Later that night was our church's Christmas party.  This year both boys were excited to sit with Santa!  The lighting wasn't all that good so the pics aren't all that good.. but you can tell they were happy!

Bruce fell asleep in the car on our way to the store and I couldn't help but giggle over him nearly falling over in the cart.  He refused to lay down and I refuse to try and carry him anymore.  Now that he's 4, he's just too big!
Also, my parents came for a visit!  We loved having them here to celebrate with us!
We switched our boys into the opposite bedroom, which is two rooms combined.  So one side is pretty much all toys!  Bruce is there playing with his magnets against his magnet board!
EZ is taking a dance class.  He really enjoys dancing!  They let the parents sit in on a class to see what they've been working on.  My parents were here to see it too!  EZ did great and really keeps the beat as he moves.  I can't say the other kids were as coordinated, or maybe I'm just biased.

Speaking of dancing, we do a lot of Just Dance on YouTube!

EZ's birthday!  His favorite gift was a small pink plush Kirby.  He's wanted one for about a year.. you can see the look on his face, he's just so surprised and excited!

Bruce's birthday!  His preschool celebrated him on the same day as their Christmas party so he really got to indulge!  We also made swirly sugar cookies.  He got a lot of great stuff but I think that shirt was his favorite.

My great Aunt has been sending all family members birthday and major holiday cards.  She's a sweetheart.  We're grateful to her!

We got to do gingerbread houses with some friends.  It was awesome and just the best time!  I love get togethers with good friends and yummy candies to decorate with and eat!  What could be better?

Back to Christmas stuff, just around the corner..  my parents took the weekend to visit more of my family in Las Vegas and they brought back a Baby Shark for Bruce's birthday.  You can tell it was the most amazing thing he's ever experienced.  Ha ha!  Then we had a bit of a nerf gun war (birthday gifts from our friends) and there's my Dad having a little too much fun shooting his grandkids!  Ha ha!

Next up, Christmas...

November 2019

In early November we got a quick visit with John's sister, Maryann and her husband and son.  I don't have any good pictures.. but it is always a treat when we get visitors!

Bruce is still potty training.. we put a kid potty at the end of the hall to encourage a more user friendly place as well as a reminder each time he walks past.  He has this tiger blanket that he's always wrapped up in and this was just too funny not to take a picture of him on the potty completely covered in his blanket!

 Just taking couch pictures!

Christmas is coming!  We decided to put up our tree a little early because we planned to visit Utah for Thanksgiving.  I like coming home to Christmas!  Bruce helped me put up the window stickers.  Notice him in mid air in one of these shots!  Oh and that last one is him wearing his slippers, a rare occasion.

We ended up cancelling our trip to Utah because there was just too much snow to travel.  Thankfully our sweet neighbors invited us to join them for their Thanksgiving.  They celebrated a day early because of work schedules so we still had a small impromptu Thanksgiving dinner at our house.  I made it another year without having to cook a turkey!  We just took some leftovers from the neighbors and I made a few more things.  Still very yummy!

More couch selfies!  Including one of our dog, Sadie!

I saw this idea online where you make waffles and add green food coloring, overlap them and it looks like a Christmas tree.  Then you can decorate it with powdered sugar and mini m&m's to make it look like snow and ball ornaments.  The kids sure loved doing this!  Talk about sugar overload!!

EZ's school's Christmas program.  His class each had kazoo's and used them to sing Deck the Halls.  EZ is in the middle row, red beanie, white shirt.  Always a cute program!!
