but my lips hurt real bad!

Since about junior high I have not been able to live without my chapstick. (lip balm as john would say) I grew up using this weird stuff that NO ONE else has ever heard of let alone used. It's called Menthol Camphor and its awesome. I have a large tin about 4 ounces and a travel size that I keep in my pants pocket. Well a few months ago I lost my little one! Didn't know how didn't know when. It was awful. I was forced to lug around the large one in my purse until I could get a new travel version one. So after about 2 long weeks the new one arrived and I couldn't believe my eyes! I had really worn out my old one you see by refilling it over and over. This new one is just beautiful. Take a look for yourself, (old one on left if you couldn't tell)

About a month after I got the new one, my amazing husband found the old one deep in the hide-a-bed part of our couch. I'm not attached to the old one, it's his now!

kind of a funny coincidence.. remember the scene in Napoleon Dynamite when he calls home from school asking if some one can bring him his chapstick?? yeah, i did that...junior year... way before the movie and before cell phones and yea... I told you I can't live without it! My mother, who knows the tragedy of being without Camphor, kindly brought it to me in my second period class. Thanks again mom!

My love and fascination with SUPER HEROES

I'm not sure when this all started but the first memory I have of loving supers was my days of 8th grade. My best friend, Katy and I took upon ourselves the identities of characters from the Batman legacy. Katy was Catwoman, obviously, she had many pet cats and just loved cats in general. Me, being kind of a goof and well a blonde at the time, took on the persona of Harley Quinn, the Joker's side kick chick. I love reflecting on the good old days but I wonder if any of my readers out there didn't know I was an obsessed super hero fan! So, now ya know! Well anyhow, I really loved watching the Batman cartoon and I love the movies.

When I was 18 I got into Superman from watching the show, Smallville. I still watch the show unfortunately. It's pretty much butchered now but I fell in love with the super special effects. It's amazing watching someone run fast, punch through walls, use heat vision, and super hearing and so on. I think I just love the idea of having abilities, super powers! I'd give anything to be able to fly!!

I also got hooked into the show Heroes. It's really good too but again I feel like they shouldn't draw it out because after a while it'll end up butchered too. Anyway, personal feelings.

I do also love Spiderman and I enjoy Iron Man and Hulk and many others. I think its pretty awesome there are so many super hero movies made today because I never get tired of them!! I really want to be in one someday!
