Trying to enjoy the last bits of warm days that we have left before winter... Halloween costumes... potty training... pumpkin patch... and more!
A visit with my sister! I took a solo trip for a weekend and it was just what I needed! Some one on one sister time. We took a walk and tried to take some cute pictures... we wanted to send one to our mom but kept laughing at how hard it was!
Halloween celebration with our church. I don't know why these programs always get scheduled so late. By the time we finished with the games and dinner we were done for the night. So, we skipped on the trick or treating and went home. Whatever! We did get in some trick or treating on another night thankfully. We went a little overboard with costumes this year. Batman & Robin. Storm Trooper and The Flash. EZ also got a skeleton morph suit but his head is so big that we couldn't get it zipped up all the way! Bruce also fit well in his Bumblebee costume from last year. Fun to have options! John borrowed a Batman costume and I wore my Harley Quinn sweatshirt. Pretty low key for me I guess. Halloween always seems to sneak up on me and I don't ever have the time to put together something awesome.. probably because I'm busy getting everyone and everything else ready instead. We went to a friend's party and I made brain jello and other Halloween-themed jello jigglers as well as sugar cookies. I also made mummy hot dogs! It was so much fun! EZ's school does a walk-parade thing and that's the end pic of him as Robin.
Our local Dollar General went out of business and I bought the kids some backpacks for crazy cheap. Bruce goes to preschool but doesn't require a backpack... but wants to wear it all the same. How can I refuse when he looks that adorable wearing one?
EZ's class had a fun field trip to see a firetruck, ambulance, and rescue copter! He was a little nervous about the sirens so with permission I was able to tag along. I'm so glad I did! I got some great pictures that otherwise I wouldn't have and wouldn't have got to experience for myself. Thankfully they didn't turn on any sirens so all was well!
With Halloween over we're getting ready for the upcoming holidays and things are getting exciting!
